STELLA - 1965 (France)
STELLA "Children"
STELLA "Adult"
Model 1965
The story begins in 1919 when Pierre Fonteneau implanted his factory in Nantes, Chaussée de la Madeleine. But it was his son, Pierre, like him, who had the idea to equip the Stella brand with a team of professional runners to promote it. Especially since in his ranks there is a promising young man, a certain Louison Bobet. The latter will carry in its wake a whole generation of young runners: Audaire, Barbotin, André Mahé, Malléjac, Molinéris, Dussault and many others.
Stella marked its era, the highlights of regional, national and even international cycling. And, until the 1970s that will ring the death knell and the extinction of the mark.
