The new range 1990 is due to the research work conducted personally by Bernard Hinault, it is rich in technological innovations. Bernard Hinault, Head of Development shares his success of these products with Francesco Moser.
For this frame of a new generation, Ceramic fibers have reinforced the structure braids and beams of Carbon and Kevlar. The complementarity of these three avant-garde materials, and the use of these two structures give it an exceptional nervousness, rigidity and lightness. With these qualities, the KG "Team Replica" does not support any competition, as much on the materials as on the price.
Designed with revolutionary technology this frame guarantees unparalleled performance. The proof: professional teams (PDM, TOSHIBA, ONCE, THALMAN) and the French, German National teams use this frame since the end of 1988.
The anthracite gray aluminum fittings blend beautifully into the exposed carbon fibers of the tubes. Decorated with a particular geometry of the Mondrian, the four colors LOOK the KG 96 Team Replica is truly a work of art.
Like the tubes, the fork is composed of braids and unidirectional carbon fibers. It is thanks to a flexible conduit called - Platilon - arranged inside the branches and passing in the interior of the pivot tube that the blowing technology is realized. After closing the mold, the inner pressure plates the carbon structure against the walls. This revolutionary process has many advantages:
-Best distribution of the constraints during the constraints during the assembly thus better resistance
- weight improvement
- Better elasticity so better comfort.
