Ernest Colnago is a mechanic in 1954 at Molteni (later Eddy Merckx's team). This outstanding mechanic prepares and realizes the frames for the team, it becomes unbeatable. Since the company Colnago equips the biggest professional teams and the bikes have won the biggest races in the world. Ernesto Colnago made the setting for Eddy Merckx's time record on October 25, 1972 in Mexico City (49,431 km / h).
